Rest in Peace MaLlele PeTje

1961 – 2024

Mr PeTje was appointed to the Zenex Foundation board in January 2013. He provided strategic guidance on education and government relations, having served as Deputy Director General and Head of Department in the Gauteng Department of Education. Mr PeTje has over 30 years’ experience in education. He has extensive experience in senior executive roles in the non-government, private and public sectors in the areas of policy development, corporate governance and intergovernmental relationship management

Mr PeTje has held directorships and served on the boards of several organisations, including NBI Gauteng EQUIP, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance and the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.

At the time of his passing, he was pursuing business interests in the areas of ICTs in education and infrastructure development through his consultancy practice, Borofa Consulting (Pty).

His passing is a great loss to the education sector and the Zenex community at large. We extend our deepest condolences to his family, friends and loved ones.
