Evaluation in Education Short Course
Zenex Foundation is pleased to announce the launch of South Africa’s first accredited short course in Evaluation in Education.
The pioneering programme, developed by the Centre for Research on Evaluation, Science and Technology (CREST) at Stellenbosch University with the support of the Zenex Foundation, marks an important milestone in CREST’s ongoing commitment to strengthening evaluation capacity and advancing evidence-informed practice in the education sector. Through this initiative, CREST and Zenex aim to strengthen meaningful evaluation practice across South Africa and the broader African region.
The course reflects a shared commitment to improving the quality, use, and relevance of evaluation in education contexts. Blending foundational knowledge with practical application, the course equips participants with the skills to design, manage, and use evaluations that support stronger education interventions, improved decision-making, and better educational outcomes. More information on the content of the course can be seen in the attached brochure.
This is the first course in Evaluation in Education, but it is important to note that two other courses will be offered in 2027 which deal with topics such as data collection, data analysis, managing an evaluation in the education sector, reporting and impact evaluations.
