Thandi is a Human Rights lawyer and activist whose career of over 35 years spans the roles of attorney, mediator, arbitrator, facilitator, dispute resolution practitioner, public speaker, executive management, and director of companies. She has been involved in high profile litigation, mediated labour disputes with huge economic impact and conducted various high-profile investigations and commissions of inquiry. She holds a B Juris degree from Fort Hare University, B Proc and LLB degrees from UNISA and LLM degree from Wits University. She is an admitted advocate, shareholder and executive director of Peotona Group Holdings, Trustee of various Trusts, notably Chair of the Legal Resources Trust and Zenex Foundation.

Sizwe holds a BCom, BCompt (Hons), CA (SA) qualification. He was conferred with honorary doctorates by the Universities of Fort Hare, the Durban University of Technology, the University of Johannesburg, and the Walter Sisulu University. He is the former CEO of Telkom and FirstRand Banking Group. He is the Co-founder and Chairman of the National Education Collaboration Trust (NECT), founder and Chairman of Ikusasa Student Financial Aid Programme (ISFA). Sizwe is now a social entrepreneur who founded Future Nation Schools. He also founded Sifiso Learning Group, which is involved in EdTech, academic and non-academic publishing and real estate.

Michael is a partner and Executive Chairman at Bedell Trust, with an extensive international private client practice, advising families on the structuring of their affairs offshore. Michael serves as a non-executive director on numerous companies, with reference to mutual funds and fund management companies. Michael studied at the College of Law, Guilford and then obtained a Diplome d’Etudes Françaises at the University of Caen in 1974 and a L.L.B Honours from Exeter University in 1977. He has served as an advocate of the Royal Court of Jersey and a solicitor of the Supreme Court of England and Wales. Michael has been involved in the Zenex Trust and its Foundation since their inception.

He has a Masters in Philosophy from the University of Cape Town and has completed two Senior Executive Programmes. MaLlele has over 25 years’ experience in the education sector. He has held directorships and served on the boards of several organisations, including NBI Gauteng EQUIP, Sci-Bono Discovery Centre, Matthew Goniwe School of Leadership and Governance and the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls.

Com degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting from UKZN. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte. Her illustrious career includes being Group CFO of Transnet, and an Executive Partner at Ernst & Young. She has served on boards of South Africa’s premium corporates including MTN, Armscor, South African Airways, and the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.

Sir Michael Oliver (UK) is Chairman of Helios Underwriting Plc and was Chairman of an Oil and a Gold Exploration Company. Educated at Wellington College, he started his working life with Rediffusion Broadcast Relay, who transferred him to South Africa. Later he was employed by Helios Productions in Cape Town. In 1970 he joined London Stockbroker Kitcat & Aitken and subsequently became both a partner of the firm and later Managing Director. City mergers in the 1990s saw him become Director, Lloyds Investment Managers and then Director, Investment Funds at Hill Samuel Asset Management. In July 2000, following the Lloyds TSB merger with Scottish Widows, he became Director, Investment Funds with Scottish Widows Investment Partnership. Sir Michael has also served on the Boards of a number of investment trusts and country funds and thus has wide geographic business contacts and is a Trustee of the Zenex Foundation. He is a fellow of the Securities Institute. Parallel to his business career he served as a Magistrate for many years and was Sheriff of the City of London in 1997 and elected Lord Mayor of the City of London in 2001. He was the founding Chairman of the Museum of London Docklands, and has been a Trustee of two Homeless Charities. He has been a Governor of three Schools and is a Senior Member of a Cambridge University College.
